I really don't understand the low (weighted) rating this movie has gotright now. Though it does leave some questions unresolved and lacks abit on the scare/horror part, I found this movie to be highly enjoyableand intimidating.
The acting isn't great, but decent enough to convey the story, the plotis not predictable and the "effects" (make-up etc.) were convincingenough to make it credible, without the need of big eye-catchingeffects or many jumpscare moments to keep you at it. The atmospherecreated worked really well, even in a well-lit crowded room and theidea behind the plot - while not that innovative or or revolutionary -was good enough to make it entertaining.
So, again, I really enjoyed watching this movie and can recommendanybody else interested in this kind of suspense Thriller with Horrorelements to watch it. It is not gory, it is not very scary, so don'tlook for that in this movie; if you are looking for that, then don'twatch it. Other than that, this is one of the best Horror movies tocome out in a while, so give it a try.

It isn't a horror that'll scare you witless, there aren't any jumpscares or scenes of bloody violence. It's quite a simple ghost seekingvengeance plot. Slightly creepy, but nothing you'll lose sleep over. Ifanything you understand the ghost(s) isn't going to hurt theprotagonist and just wants her to know something, and it's all aboutfinding out what that something is, so there's little threat involved.
I enjoyed it though! I found myself wanting to see the end and itwasn't a bad story overall.
Worth a shot if you're into stories and can live without brilliantcinematography and things that'll come crawling out of your closet whenyou try to get to sleep afterwards.
It did make me wonder what would have happened if she'd gone to SilverFalls with Robbie at the end to see what he had to show her. Maybe itwas just a lame come on like she thought, though...

Or I wouldn't have enjoyed the movie as much as I did. The story isvery different to your average ghost story. Love the twist and kept myinterest right to the end. The story is a slow bleed story on a newgirl in town type tale filled with stories about a haunted forest. Ireally liked the way the story was revealed. I was asking myself whatthe inciting incident was after the first 10mins. The film doesn't tryhard to be the next Exorcist or Amityville Horror and stands on its ownfeet as a ghost story that creates it's own genre.
If you read the plot summary, whoever wrote it deserves to be shot, thewhole summary is a big Spoiler. Why anyone would write the wholepremise and outline of a movie as a plot summary I can't for the lifeof me understand Which hopefully every horror/thriller fan won't read.
It deserves more than the low rating its been given on here. 6/10
